About Me

Hi, I’m Jeremy 👋

I was born and raised in Portland, OR, and have lived here my whole life. I’m blessed to have an amazing wife of several decades, and two incredible daughters.

My dad was into computers and technology when I was young, so I got to build and mess around with computers pretty early on. As long as I can remember, I’ve just wanted to play with technology at work, and in any free time I had. My first job while in high school was working at an MSP (Managed Service Provider). I continued to learn and grow from SMB IT, up to being a Senior Systems/Network Administrator for a small enterprise. Throughout the journey, I was more interested in the networking, security, and dev/scripting aspect of things than anything related to anything Microsoft.

These days, I’m a Sales Engineer designing IT networking and security solutions! It’s fun being on this side of the equation, where I get to design all kinds of solutions that fit the needs of clients. When I’m not working, I love playing with all things IT too. I manage a somewhat unreasonable amount of servers, containers, VMs, and VPS for my own personal use. In general, I love playing with networking & firewalls, Linux, Python, Docker, home automation, and lots in between.
